Help Huxley fight for every breath

Sweet baby Huxley is only one month old and fighting so hard. He has been admitted to the PICU for respiratory distress and SVT. Unfortunately, we just found out Huxley has yet to be approved to be put on our insurance so we are currently self pay. We’re hoping to get ahead of the medical bills in the best way possible as we’ve already had many test, labs and work ups done. As of right now we’re looking at at least a weeks hospital stay to make sure he recovers correctly. He is stable but his lungs are just so full of fluid leaving him on the high flow oxygen machine. He still has a high heart rate but hasn’t gone into SVT again so that’s a good sign! We also now have a NG tube for feedings so we can make sure he’s getting all his nutrients! His first round of EKG and ECHO test came back normal but we will be looking at doing some more here in the next couple days. His lungs are what is really worrisome for the drs. They aren’t sure if his right lung is completely full of mucus and turning into pneumonia or if the top of it is collapsing because he’s still working so hard to breathe. It’s just a waiting period to see if he can pull through this with strictly just oxygen or if further actions will need to be taken. We’re so very grateful for all of those who have reached out to us offering a helping hand and prayers. Every little thing helps!
