Project Hotdog is a way to help feed as many people as possible with a small budget we thought up recently and tried out the idea.
We wanted to see just how much we could do with as little as £5, We managed to get a couple polystyrene boxes the fish markets use to keep their fish cold for free they also keep food warm but need a good wash before,
We then spent £5 on hotdogs and buns total of 40 hotdogs,
We cooked the hotdogs and we both wrapped them in foil and packed them into the box they'll stay warm for a few hours in there,
We then headed to Hull city centre and walked the streets handing out hot food to 40 homeless people that were all very appreciative of warm food on a cold night,
Since this we hold a soup kitchen every Saturday night in the city centre at Queens Gardens and have a few kind hearted voulenteers and lots of hungry visitors that come for food, clothing a chat and even a hug.
The thing most of them ask for is toiletries and hygiene products so they can wash this is something we struggle with so that's where we are hoping you can help with donations if we can hand out a toiletries bag along with food it would be fantastic thanks for listening and if you can't help financially feel free to pop along on a Saturday and share the love regards Carl Simpson and Chris Winn.
