Companion Dog Fund

Donation protected

In 2004, within a few days of being released from hospital, I found a 4-legged companion who was to aid me in recovering from my illness. Primarily, it was to give me a reason to exercise on a more regular basis. Secondarily, it was to give me a distraction from my on-going health problems.

On Saturday 20th of February, after a rapid decline in health, my beautiful baby boy (sorry, but I can't help anthropomorphising him) passed away.

Whilst grieving for my lost companion, I have 2 ongoing concerns:-

1) Existing vet fees (to the sum of £170) for the medication needed prior to (and for the cost of) his termination.

2) My grief can't be cured, but the additional impact of the loss of a doggy companion is causing me extra pain... and that can be cured, with some (possible) help from you.

The GoFundMe target is £390 for these reasons:-

£170 Existing vet fees
£120 Cost of the puppy
£100 Initial costs (return transportation to collect a pup and initial vet fees)

If I am fortunate enough to raise as much as £170, I will be relieved of the worry about paying that bill.

£120 is the amount for the puppy. The additional £100 is to cover the collection/travel costs... and/or any initial costs for a veterinary check-up/procedure including neutering/spaying).

Due to my aforementioned health-problems, I am not able to work. And that is why I am here, in the embarrasing position of asking for help, as none of the above can be done without it.

If you are able to help (no matter how little) it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't, that's also good (seeing as how that's the situation I'm also in).

With thanks,
Craig McDonald
