Our friend and fellow teacher is going through breast cancer and will have a double mastectomy.  The recovery time for this is generally recommended to be 6-8 weeks. However, this kindergarten teacher cannot take that amount of time off to recover. 

Instead, she will only be able to take 3-4 weeks because as a young teacher with young children, she does not have enough sick time built up. In addition, her daughter had some health issues that required an extended hospital stay which has left them with large hospital bills. Disability does not cover the medical expenses needed so she will need to return to work only halfway through her recommended recovery time. 

Any amount would help this beautiful teacher, friend, wife, and mother as she and her family struggle along this very difficult road. Thank you for considering helping this lovely family!
