Hello
Meet my sister, Brenda. She will be 21 years old this year. Can you believe she was expected to live only a couple of years? She beat the odds. I wonder if she can beat the odds again; it is worth a shot to have her story be told. Brenda was born with Juvenile Hyaline Fibromatosis, a very rare disorder that affects the skin, joints and bones. Only 70 people with this disorder have been reported. Everyday is a struggle for Brenda. She has severe physical limitations and is constantly in pain. Yet, she is a warrior and is one of the most intelligent people I know. She is currently pursuing a career in medical interpreting, as she is fluent in both English and Spanish. Brenda has a dream that will help her life become easier: she wants to be able to afford a robotic arm that attaches to her power wheelchair that she discovered while at the abilities Expo in San Jose. At the expo she was able to try the robotic arm. A whole world of possibilities could potentially open for Brenda. Please help me earn money to get her arm. It is 50k, more than we can afford. Please help spread the word! Thank you
Hi friends! We have currently updated the goal on the GoFundMe page to take into account the donations we have received. We changed the goal from 50k to 30k! Thanks to those who have contributed! We are getting closer.
