Maddie's Family Needs Help

Donation protected

Shuniqua Dietz, also known by friends as Maddie has been suffering from the effects of Lupus for many years. She has been hospitalized numerous times due to illness and complications. She has fought very hard, and struggled every day with this terrible illness.

She was a strong woman with a beautiful soul. A kind hearted person who would always put others before herself despite her needs or condition. She was that helping hand, or that ear to listen when you needed it. Always the first to ask "Can I do anything to help?" A smile that would light up any room with a personality to match. She was indeed a true angel, and someone who meant so much, to so many. Shuniqua would give the shirt off her back for anyone who needed it, she was a true role model and mentor to many.

She was also very instrumental in raising awareness and funds for Lupus research as well as for extra life. She would get as many people involved as she could, making sure that she got the word out and helped where possible. She was a large part of a community with diverse and unique individuals, she accepted each member with open arms and a welcoming heart. The love she had in her heart for everyone she knew is remarkable. She never judged, never turned her back on anyone and didn't have a mean bone in her body. If Shuniqua knew you in any capacity, you were a friend, and most often, family.  I am sure she is looking down upon us right now, watching out for each and every one of us as she always did.

Sadly, Lupus took away an angel, she passed away on July 17th, 2018 from complications due to an infection. She had been in the hospital for a couple weeks, it looked as if it was looking up at one point and she was fighting with all she had but lost her fight. We know she isn't in any pain now, and can rest easy and be free of the illness and all that caused her to suffer greatly. The last few years of her life were extremely difficult and through all that she remained positive, at least put on a brave face and was still there when her friends and family needed her. Although Heaven has a new Angel with them, we lost one of ours tonight.

Taking into consideration all that has happened with Shuniqua's health, it has been rough on her family. With medical expenses being a growing concern, and frequent trips to the hospital family funds have taken a great hit. It has very much been a struggle physically, emotionally and also financially. The concern was always getting her treatment. Helping her fight this illness was the top priority. Shuniqua's family needs help, the situation is difficult and help is needed financially. With the bills piling up and a funeral to finance, assistance is very much needed. If you can help this family, it will be greatly appreciated. Any help you can give will be a blessing. Money is needed for a funeral, food, rent and gas and medications. Anything you can spare will be very much appreciated.

Shuniqua was an angel to us, let's be that angel the family needs now. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you can find it in your heart to help the family. It's tough enough to cope with the loss of a loved one, without having to worry about how you will survive financially.
