Chances are, you’ve seen my buddy, Pasha.
In the past two years, he’s appeared on Shadow Hunters, SIX, The Good Doctor, Supergirl, Supernatural…you get the idea. He left the Maritimes, and his family, and uprooted his life to chase his passion. And he was killing it.
It’s difficult to break into the scene in a new city—not for Pasha. He was receiving calls from top casting agents in Vancouver, managed by a premier agency, and landing an increasing number of high profile roles. His girlfriend joined him, moving across the country from Newfoundland, and they began planning for a future on the West Coast.
In the spring of 2018, Pasha was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
True to his character, he faced the situation head on—undergoing surgery projected to keep him down for eight weeks, and bouncing back in half the time. He kept going to auditions, and filmed a role on the series Salvation two days after his procedure.
The cancer was aggressive. Surgery gave way to a summer spent in chemotherapy—three full rounds. Pasha kept going. He kept auditioning.
The point has come now, though, where the guy who’s been tough enough, for long enough, needs a little help. On November 19th, Pasha will undergo an invasive, life saving surgery. This one won’t be easy to bounce back from. Unable to audition, or work his part time job, his ability to recover will be difficult.
I’m asking you to join me in support of my friend, because I believe in his career. I want to see him get healthy. I want to see what he will do next. Because chances are, you’ve seen him on TV, and we’d like to see more of him.
