Illinois boy seeks wrestling GOLD
We are raising money for Luke Luffman to compete for the US Greco Cadet World Team in Zagreb, Croatia (July 3-9) at the World Championships. Luke earned his spot on the US Greco World Team over the weekend, going 4-0 to win the 110-kg cadet Greco bracket at the UWW Cadet World Team Trials, held in Akron, Ohio. Part of the preparation for the World Championship includes training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO (June 21-28). Any donations will go towards the training and travel expenses that are necessary to compete in this event. Anyone who knows Luke, knows that wrestling is his love. Luke is both honored and excited to represent the United States as a Greco World Team Member.
Luke is a current member of the Illinois Regional Training Center (IRTC) located at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. This fall, Luke will be a senior at Urbana High School.

Thought I would share a bit about what Luke has been doing lately. He finished his senior wrestling season undefeated. He took first place at both the state regionals and sectionals. He pinned all 3 opponents at his sectional. State brackets are posted and Luke earned a top seed at 285#.
He is also on the high honor roll, earned student of the month in December, and was awarded a good citizenship award from the Sons of the American Revolution.
He is senior yearbook editor and perfecting his magic card tricks.
State starts Thursday and I will post results soon.
