Puerto Rico Spay/Neuter Project

Tax deductible
Over the last few decades, Gillian Wood Pultz, executive director of North Fork Animal Welfare League, has made helping animals locally, as well as in underserved communities, a priority.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, which is the most destructive storm on record in Puerto Rico, she'll be joining ViDAS (Veterinarios Internacionales Dedicados a Animales Sanos) for a spay/neuter clinic in the territory's second largest city, Ponce, from March 11 - 17, 2018.

While this is the 33rd spay/neuter clinic for ViDAS, it will be the first time the all-volunteer animal organization will be partnering with the Humane Society of the United States. NFAWL is proud to be supporting this important project that will help not just the animals but the people of this US territory. The Puerto Rico spay/neuter clinic will be providing rabies vaccinations along with spaying and neutering owned and free roaming cats and dogs. The vaccinations will help stop the spread of rabies and leptospirosis, two diseases that are currently a rampant health concern for the people and pets of the area.

The supporters of NFAWL stand in solidarity to provide our brothers and sisters assistance during this time of crisis and the funds we are raising through this campaign are going towards emergency relief.
