Puerto Rico Hurricane Air Lift
Please consider a donation to The Eagles Wings Foundation to help airlift seniors out of Puerto Rico. Scott and I have organized a special extraction team with a private plane going to San Juan with former military plus medics. Our rescue mission is to pull out 28 people at a time at a cost of $1400 per life saved. Our first flight leaves tomorrow. We will extract elders trapped on 6th floor of a nursing home. They have no electric, no fuel, no food or drinking water. Donations go 100% to this extraction. Eagles Wings has no paid staff and overhead costs are donated. All donations are tax deductible. www.theeagleswingsfoundation.org+ Read More
We airlifted more than 100 vulnerable seniors out of Puerto Rico, delivered tons of water, food and supplies to remote areas of the island, and assisted local authorities by doing door-to-door needs assessments. We witnessed a great deal of suffering.
Today our team found a small nursing home that no one has visited for 3 weeks since Hurricane Maria! Residents were crying, overcome. No words. Here is a link to story about our work in today's newspaper:
Update on our work in Puerto Rico:
We've rescued more than 100 people from Puerto Rico so far, 30 yesterday. Scott is there now and says the devastation is beyond belief. Only 15 pallets of water have arrived in the town of 50,000 where he is. That is the total of all aid received there so far.
