Publishing for: "Type 2 Diabetes: The Loaded Gun"

$4,949 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 17 people in 5 months
My mission is to publish in November during National Diabetes Awareness Month. The book exposes the pervasive, serious threat of type 2 diabetes and the fact that medicine is not the way to treat this dietary disease. Readers will learn how people with type 2 diabetes can work together with their medical team and diabetes coach to better manage the disease without drugs, and even reverse the condition through nutrition and lifestyle modification. Many medical doctors are not even aware that diabetes can be reversed. "Type 2 Diabetes: The Loaded Gun" will give you the facts!

We live in a diabetogenic environment, conducive for contracting diabetes and other metabolic diseases due to lifestyle choices and diet. Our environment pre-disposes us all to type 2 diabetes,  hence the "loaded gun", but making consistently poor dietary and lifestyle choices will pull the trigger bringing it into our life.

I lost my mother to undiagnosed diabetes, but her loss will save others. For more information, go to:

I wanted to take a break from writing to reach out to all of you who are praying for me and supporting me. Thank you! Deciding to self-publish my first book was a daunting move, and you have all inspired me to push on because the subject matter is that important. Think of others you know that need guidance about this avoidable condition. Send them to my page www.theloadedgunbook.com to learn more.

I have great news in today's update! I recently informed Two Sisters Publishing that we are ready to move forward and engage them in the publishing of "Type 2 Diabetes: The Loaded Gun". Thank you all for your contributions thus far that have enabled us to pay the deposit which officially green lights this important project!

Catherine Greenspan and Elizabeth Atkins, literally two sisters, have been coaching me over the past 6 months, empowering me to realize that I can and must write my book which will help bring awareness to the epidemic of type 2 diabetes, and that there is hope for prevention and even reversal. Type 2 diabetes is a dietary disease that has been wrongly treated by medical professionals for over 50 years using drugs, which only suppress the symptoms while the disease progresses. This must stop!

"Type 2 Diabetes: The Loaded Gun" will teach you about this "diabetogenic" environment we live in, and how to combat it. In the coming months I'll be posting interviews and Facebook Live events with Two Sisters Publishing, as we begin promoting our mission leading up to the release date.

Thank you for your continued support; we've still got a long way to go but I know we're going to get there. I'm trusting in God all the way, and giving Him the glory!

I wanted to give you an update on my progress with "Type 2 Diabetes: The 'Gun". I'm negotiating with my potential publisher on a win-win opportunity for both parties to be a part of this important work.

The labor of writing is truly a labor of love, as each word gives consideration to the people I speak with and work with every day. The prime objective is to get people to let go of the belief that type 2 diabetes is incurable. At the very least, through lifestyle modification, connecting with a diet that creates health, and working with a diabetes health coach, your life can improve for the better. And best of all, you can grow less dependent on drugs that only make the problem worse.

Food is medicine, so let your medicine be your food!

One of the chapters in my book is called Persons With Diabetes (PWD's). I recently interviewed an incredible PWD by the name of Jim Forte (his real name), who has had type 2 diabetes for more than 50 years! To look at him at the age of 79 you would scratch your head and ask how is this guy a diabetic? That's exactly what some of his doctors have felt. Not to mention that if you ask him to, Jim can rip off 75 push ups right now!

Jim's physical fitness regimen and his incessant desire to investigate everything related to diabetes has help him maintain his health to this point, while minimizing medication. During the course of our interview Jim shared that he finally has an endocrinologist who is knowledgeable and passionate about alternative measures of treatment for diabetes besides medication. In a follow-up interview his endocrinologist I will be discussing Jim's condition and her approach to treatment.

Jim is a prime example of how a commitment to a healthy lifestyle can prolong your life and minimize complications that usually come with type 2 diabetes, such as high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. In my next update I will post an excerpt from that fascinating interview! Type 2 diabetes is a loaded gun, and your lifestyle can pull the trigger to a life of poor health and decline. Jim Forte, you are an inspiration to many who will read my book. Thank you for your continued support!
