The State of the Nation
In today's culture there is a strong push to remove Christ from Christmas... We now have 'winter' lights, 'winter; trees, Diwali, Hanukkah,.... Pagan 'winter solstice' celebrations etc. It is even difficult to purchase Christmas cards with a Nativity theme; Christ and the Christmas story is getting pushed out and marginalised.
Our Goal
Our church has a town centre presence in the form of 'The liberty Centre' with a large window at street level. We want to redress the balance at Christmas time by putting in a half-life sized nativity scene. There is one available in Costco but it costs £730. Would you consider helping us purchase it? By doing this you are participating in this important public witness. We needs the funds immediately to make the purchase and set it up.
WHY? Its simple:... “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith’” (Romans 1:16–17)
