PTSD Soldier

Josh, 32, served 1 tour in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan for the Marines. After seeing horrible things and losing several close buddies, the results of combat has been  severe. On his VA record, they rated Josh at 90% disabled, primarily emotional rather than physical, thankfully.  Nights are dreaded, with nightmares and flashbacks, usually resulting in dibilitating headaches and depression during the day--still ongoing since his discharge in January 2009. He stated to me through tears one thing that haunts him, "I just wish I could still be there to help my buddies."

With these funds, my wife and I will purchase a therapy unit for him that has helped countless others. Best of all, he can use the unit at home without the stress of appointments, trips to and from the VA, etc., minimizing his feelings of vulnerability and exposure. Like so many, this young man really deserves help. We are retired, but with your help and kindness, we can make this happen.
