Fundraiser for Przemysław Kozłowski

Our friend is recovering from near fatal aortic dissection incident and needs your help. 

Several weeks ago our dear friend and a very active member of the Polish Community in Minneapolis – Przemysław Kozłowski – had a near fatal cardiac incident. Przemek was always ready to help; transporting stage decorations, food, flowers and other items to various community events.

Thanks to the quick reaction of his friends, he was transported to the hospital and was provided with much needed help. He spent next few weeks in intensive care where he was treated by a group of great doctors.

Unfortunately, due to the weak blood flow, he lost his left leg, and almost lost his other leg. For a long time there was fear that he might also lose his kidneys, but they slowly resuming their functions.

Considering the seriousness of the aortic dissection, we consider ourselves lucky that he survived and is currently recovering. He is still in the hospital, but has started his rehabilitation therapy.

Przemek is the sole provider to his family: his wife Aneta and two young boys, Michael and Alex. It is still uncertain how his job will be affected by the loss of his leg.

We as a community have started collecting funds to help pay of the hospital bills, medications and support his family in this very difficult time.
