I set up this GoFundMe account for my brother who was recently diagnosed with Tonsil/Neck Cancer.
My brother, Brian Barber, is the father of three children under the age of 6, the youngest child is 13 months old. Brian has recently been diagnosed with Tonsil /Neck Cancer. The tumor is inoperable and chemotherapy and radiation are necessary. He will travel to Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City for treatment for at least the next 16 weeks, 4-5 times a week. Brian is the sole wage earner in the family and is self-employed. His doctor has said there will be days and weeks that Brian will be unable to work as he will be weak and feeling ill from treatment. I am reaching out to ask for help. As a young family, they are financially strapped, living week to week. This fund is established to help them pay for everyday bills that will be necessary including health care costs not covered by insurance, transportation, food, utilities and any other critical needs that arise. While we are very reluctant to have to reach out to all of you, they really need our help. Brian has a long road ahead of him and needs to concentrate on getting well and I know he is very worried about how he will take care of his family. Please keep Brian in your prayers.
