Richard III

Hello I'm Matt de Rogatis and welcome to the official Go Fund Me page of Ruth Stage's unique production of Richard III directed by Tony Award nominee, the legendary Austin Pendleton. This summer our production of Richard III will take place, Off Broadway, in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, at the 124 Bank Street Theater for a 16-show, limited engagment run.

The concept of our show, visioned by our director Austin Pendleton, is to combine the texts of William Shakespeare's King Henry VI Part III with the text of Richard III to tell the whole story of Richard and his Machiavellian rise to the throne. He wasn't ALWAYS evil. But this summer, we're going to show you how he got there!

Myself, Greg Pragel and Ruth Stage have all worked together in the past and we are so excited about this latest project!  We are looking to raise $10,000 and we really need your generosity. The money raised will go towards some of the many costs this production will entail. This includes, but is not limited to, theatre rental, props, costumes, public relations, programs, posters, postcards, lighting fees, director fees, paying the actors, graphic design, etc. 

We have some exciting rewards for those of you who donate and help make this project a reality.
