Project Love Food Pantry

Donation protected
For over 28 years, Project Love Food Pantry has met the needs of thousands of families. The pantry currently provides food, paper goods, personal care items and cleaning supplies to over 50 families every week of the year.  There are estimated to be 5000 people in our service area (South Lake County Indiana) who could use our services.

We need a new building to keep up with our expanding need. Our old facility is a 2 bed-room house built over 60 years ago.  It was never intended to be used as a food pantry.   Our new building will be designed to offered space for food distribution, as well as space for classes and demonstrations, such as food preparations and how to stretch a family's food budget.  The building will be handicapped accessible in an effort to better serve our clients.  It will also offer an improved area to unload donations of food.

Project Love Food Pantry is a 501C nonprofit, and your donation is tax deductible.

Cost for the new building is $180,000.  We have $135,000 in cash and pledges, so we are $45,000 short of our goal.  Our hope is to demo the old building and break ground this spring for the new one.  Please be as generous as you can to allow us to meet our future needs.

Project Love is staffed by volunteers.  Any funds received above our construction goal will be used to offset our annual operations costs for food and other supplies.
Thank you for your prayers, consideration, and generosity.
