Did you know that 1 in 3 of our nation’s children are at an unhealthy weight. These children may grow into overweight adults and be burdeoned with the physical and social health problems that come with overweight/obesity.
And, while there are a plethora of wonderful programs out there to keep kids active, there are very little resources targeted at those children who are already struggling with obesity and the social and medical issues that come with it.
Since2009, ProActive Kids has been an advocate for these kids, offering FREE programs to help kids learn how to live a healthier lifestyle, and help them lose weight in the process. Over 1000 children have completed the 8-week program, with 70% decreasing body fat and 67% decreasing their BMI.
ProActive Kids Pediatric Weight Management programs have ALWAYS been offered to the public at large, at no cost.
We are working diligently to grow these programs into more communities so we can help even more kids and families. To do this, we are developing a new program model so any organization is able to offer the program.
To accomplish this goal, we need to invest in a few operational areas in order to ensure successful delivery of the new programs.
Over the years, we have had small donations. We have saved those donations for the right time, and the right project. That time is NOW. We need your help in raising money to complete this project.
In simple terms, if every family who has registered for PAK programs gave just $10.00, we would hit our goal.
To build the new program, ProActive Kids will need to invest in the following areas:
- Licensing Model Development
- Data Repository Design and Development - Data will be stored in a custom master database that will be designed exclusively for ProActive Kids
- Legal Counsel
- Website Redesign and E-Commerce Platform
- Graphic Design
