Furthering Education

Hello! I am Alexander Meyer and I am an engineering technology student at a small college in rural Maui. More than this I am a dreamer, and I want to put robotics into space that helps further our understanding of the universe. I am doing everything I can to work at the summit of Haleakala on a telescope that studies the sun. To achieve this, I am constantly illustrating my skill set to potential employers, but the projects I am creating are home-built and marred with imperfections. These creations are operational but don't look professional, and I don't have the edge that I would like to be taken seriously as more than a hobbyist. To do this, I will use a 3D printer that is capable of utilizing a special light-weight material, which in this case is carbon fiber. The printer is a Formbot T-Rex 2+, which is $1800. It is necessary to have such an expensive printer because of its large-volume print bed. I have an internship at the telescope on June 16th, 2018, so I will use the printer before then. I want to explore the universe, but I need your help to do it. Check out some of the pictures of devices I have tried to create!
