Princess Lilac's Lung Mass Removal

Tax deductible

Princess Lilac was discovered in a fenced-in waterway, known as the Bessemer Ditch, in Pueblo, Co. She was exhausted, sunburned, and had superficial scrapes on her body. When Princess Lilac went to her foster home about a month ago, her foster family quickly noticed a deep and frequent cough that was concerning. She was brought to a local full-service veterinary clinic, where she received a chest x-ray that showed a concerning mass. It was recommended that Princess Lilac see a specialist, so that's just what we did! Princess Lilac visited a doctor at Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine, where they did an ultra sound and discovered the mass was in her lung. They then took a biopsy of the mass, which measured 5.7 x 6.3 cm. The biopsy results came in and the mass has been confirmed as a form of lung cancer known as a respiratory adenocarcinoma, just as the specialist suspected.

The doctor at Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine has reccomened removal of the mass to give her the best shot at survival. We at SoCO Spay, Neuter and Adoption Clinc are raising funds to do so. Princess Lilac is one of the gentlest pups you will ever meet. She greets every human and animal with a gentle tail wag. She is a beautiful soul and deserves the chance to kick cancer in the booty! Please help us help her!
