We are looking to raise awareness, publicity & funds in aid of Kiara, who last year was diagnosed with a grade III anaplastic astrocytoma, a vicious malignant brain tumour.
After 30 sessions of radiotherapy and an intensive 6 month course of chemotherapy, and having to learn to walk again, Kiara had been told she was basically all clear and remission was the next step and got to ring the bell on January 30th 2019, however an mri that same night detected a tumour had returned and needed yet again more brain surgery, 2 craniotomies in 13 months, which is now grade IV brain cancer.
The reality we now face is there is an inevitable ending that we can't prepare for, as there is nothing else that can be done, Kiara is now at an end of life palliative care stage, and is in CHAS Robin House in Balloch, there is still so many memories to be made which the team at the hospice help us do and create everyday, and all of your generous & kind donations help towards making those special memories come true.
The aim was to get Kiara a sensory chill out/soft play zone in the back garden, but now with her rapid deteriorating state we're just thankful that we're being able to enjoy having her here with us for as long as we possibly can.
