Putting on an orchestral show is a lot of work. It requires the organization, time, artistry and emotional investment of many people. Few endeavors are more rewarding than having music dearest to my heart being played by an orchestra. I live and thrive in the grandeur, magic and beauty of that sound.
On Thursday May 18th at The Neptune Theater, I will be presenting a concert that will feature 35 wonderful musicians, performing original orchestral work. I am honored and grateful to be doing a show at The Neptune. It is a wonderful theater in the heart of the U-District, an area in Seattle that is very dear to my heart. Much of the music that will be performed was written in my home, bars and cafe during my 11 years living in that neighborhood.
I am raising money to fund the pre-show tasks of this event. Namely paying players for rehearsals, support for my assistant and the hiring a video and audio team. It brings me deep joy to be able to pay players well. You can feel it in the work.
