Kaitlyn's Healing Account

Kaitlyn Vegter is a beautiful young 20 year old woman of God, who always is seen smiling and laughing.  There is so much to say about this wonerful girl.  She definitely loves her family and loves spending time with them- her mother Lisa (who has her own amazing testimony of God's faithfulness in battling and defeating cancer), her father Eugene, her younger brother David, and her two older, marvelously fun sisters Cassie and Liz.

When I personally reflect and think back to Kaitlyn, I remember what a wonderful workmanship of God that Kaitlyn has been.  When we were younger, I remember going to Kaitlyn's house in the morning because Aunt Lisa would bring us all to school (Because that is how this family works.  They are so generous with their time and efforts, and they genuinely love you).  I remember every morning, going to their piano and playing, "The Entertainer" and "The Pink Panther" each morning before school.   Kaitlyn, being her goofy self would hide behind corner of the wall and crazily dance to the music.  When I stopped playing and to quickly run over and see what she was doing, she would stop immediately so she wouldn't be seen.  This is Kaitlyn in a nutshell- she has fun, loving, caring, she laughs, she dances, she's a goof, but she doesn't always want to be seen doing it!  :)

There are countless other stories I could share- coming over and "babysitting" (even though it was more like coming over to play), playing hide and go seek and Kaitlyn hiding in the laundry shoot, swimming with their family, wrestling with each other, heads up seven up, watching movies and eating popcorn, laser tag adventures, hanging out and talking in their camper when camping, playing outside in the summer and building snow forts in the winter, and so much more.  Kaitlyn is the one you always wanted to be around.  Kaitlyn has always been the one to put a smile on your face.  She has always been there for you.
Her life and the life of those who love her were drastically changed mid-day on January 7, 2016. On this day, our gracious Father in heaven spared Kaitlyn in an automobile/payloader accident.  Kaitlyn suffered head injuries, including many skull fractures, and has already had multiple brain surgeries.  Kaitlyn is currently at the UW-Madison hospital where she is under sedation while her brain swelling decreases.

[Kaitlyn a few days after the accident.  Her swelling and lacerations have already improved.]

Our God is good- Kaitlyn's swelling has gradually been decreasing, and her fractures have all lined up and are starting to heal (which means less surgery in the future).
There is still much to be prayed for- complete restoration in Jesus' name.  Stand in agreement and in faith on Jesus' promise that Kaitlyn will LIVE and not die and DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD!

Needless to say, this whole process is a spiritual, emotional, physical and financial battle.  I know the Vegter family has been very grateful for all the spiritual uplifting through prayer and words encouragement.

It is time to now "be there" for Kaitlyn and for this wonderful family.  This page is designed to bless the Vegter family financially, and in abundance.  The medical costs of this process are beyond all of our comprehension, but we know Jesus is our provider and comforter.  We go to Him in a time like this.

Please consider donating to help this family.  To help Kaitlyn.  To bless and to be blessed.  Ask the Holy Spirit whether or not to give, and how much to give.  And receive your financial and spiritual blessing when you give!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone for the support that has been given.  Lord, I pray an abundant and overflowing blessing on each and every one who has supported and stood with this family of faith.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Sincerely,
Ryan Vegter (Kaitlyn's cousin)
