Prayers for River

Hi!! My name is Sally Stanley. I am the great aunt to an amazing little boy. I want to take a minute of your time to tell you about this amazing kid! This little boy's name is River Nile Keck. I like to call him River Otter though and he is our hero! River calls Kellyville, Oklahoma his home. His Mommy and Daddy are Marc and Kerri Keck. He has a brother, Caleb, and sisters, Skyler, Libby, and Evelyn. One day in September 2016 River Otter became very sick after a visit to a dr he was rushed to St. Francis Children's Hospital where he had surgery for a brain tumor. On September 16, 2016 he had his first brain surgery. A large tumor was removed but they were unable to remove all of it, because of the location on the brain stem. He was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a cancerous tumor. After he recovered from that surgery it was decided he should go to St. Jude's in Memphis. On October 3, 2016, River Otter and his family made the journey to Memphis. Drs at St. Jude's determined that River needed a second surgery to remove the remainder of the tumor on his brain. That surgery was done on October 6, 2016. The remainder of the tumor was removed. This was followed by approx 35 rounds of radiation. River Otter received radiation from October to early December. River and family came home to Kellyville for Christmas. They returned to Memphis on January 3, 2017. Tests showed that River had cancer cells in his spinal fluid. This called for many phases of chemotherapy. River Otter will continue chemo until August 2017. We are praying for complete healing! River and his family have been very blessed to have a place to stay at the St. Jude's Target House. Mommy, Nanny, Libby, and Evie stay with River while Daddy stays in Kellyville so he can work. Skyler is at home finishing her senior year, where she will graduate in May 2017. Caleb works and lives at home. Daddy and River miss each other so much. Daddy and Poppie try to visit River every other weekend. It's becoming harder and harder financially to make those trips. They have gas, food, and motel rooms every trip. Target only allows 5 to their apartment. River misses the rest of his family so much. He and his Daddy have never been apart this much and also Daddy has to be far from new baby, Evie. Please if you can find it in your heart to send some financial support to this family they would greatly appreciate it. If not we understand but we would so appreciate prayers to lift this family up and for River's complete healing. Bless all who took the time to read this amazing little boy's story.
