In Loving Memory of Dave Salcido

Donation protected
On January 5th around 10am, Dave Salcido was found not breathing in his home in Yorba Linda by his wife, Tracy. Within minutes of finding him, the ambulance was called and arrived shortly. Dave had coded a few times on the way to the hospital but a pulse was found again upon arrival to St. Jude Hospital.

The cause of the cardiac/respiratory arrest remains mainly unknown, however, his brain had a lack of oxygen for an unknown amount of time. The lack of oxygen, even once he was brought back had already done its damage and his brain swelled due to the injury. He was treated with hypothermia hoping that would help the swelling from getting worse and stabilizing him in all other systems but now that his body is back to normal temperature, we are giving his brain time to recover. At this point in time,  the chance of Dave waking up is slim due to the CT scans revealing severe damage, however, we want to give his brain the time it needs to show us otherwise if it is possible. The next 24 hours continue to remain critical before the doctors assess permanent damage and advise on further decisions about Dave's care.

We all strongly believe and pray for a miracle to happen... For Dave's brain to miraculously heal itself and for him to wake up on his own. We know God is capable of all things. We will continue to pray and fight for Dave as he currently remains in the ICU.

Dave has a wife, Tracy and two sons, Tyler and Justin. This being an extreme shock to the family, along with a son's wedding only shortly away, we would like to alleviate any financial stress of medical expenses and help support in any way we can. If you find it in your heart and desire to help, prayers and any donation would be very much appreciated. All proceeds will go directly to medical expenses and the family as they process through the difficult situation. We are hoping to help the family cover any and all expenses so they are able to focus on Dave and what the future may hold.

Thank you.
