Prathy's Immunotherapy Treatment

Donation protected
Early summer our friend, Prathy, would always complain about pain in his right knee which he would always claim to be nothing. He went on for a while trying to sleep it off before the pain got more severe day by day. Finally agreeing to visit a medical specialist and getting some tests done Prathy was told that he had Osteosarcoma Cancer. He kept it from us for a few weeks until he finally decided to speak about it; since day 1 he has been so confident about his road to recovery and not once has he thrown his head down and given up.

Prathy is a Computer Engineering student at Ryerson University, Toronto, ON. Smart, intelligent, and he considers himself goodlooking aswell. Hes been an amazing friend to those around him and has always been there to listen, advise, and motivate his friends in need.

Currently he has gone through 3 months of chemotherapy in Canada but the results have been mediocre. With about a 20% chance of survival if the operational procedure was to continue in Canada. His family displeased with the odds and rightly so looked for further treatment options. Coming across a procedure called immunotherapy, reccomended by a family friend who has successfully battled cancer using the same procedure. The chances of survival increase and the chances of getting an amputee decrease.

Here in Canada, the standard treatment for cancer would be chemotherapy/radiation therapy followed by surgery and then more chemotherapy/radiation therapy. Early last year was the first time Ontario had introduced immunotherapy which was researched at Princess Margaret Hospital. However, since it's only undergoing clinical trials right now , the doctors are unable to give it to Prathy. BUT in some part of the United States of America, the procedure has passed clinical trials and it's made available to people. But is also proven to be very costly. The goal of this fundraiser will merely cover half the costs of the total procedure but it will give his family great confidence that they have the support of many others! He is looking to fly out on January 22nd, 2018 to begin his treatment so we are looking to help him very soon.

This is where we come into play, as a friend and brother to us I want raise awareness for Prathy; if its in the form of donations or prayers he needs our help. Every dollar will help him and his family stay strong and fight through this day by day.

If you can help by sharing and/or donating, it would mean the world to Prathy, his family and everyone that loves him dearly.
