Hi. My name is Heaven Leigh. I’ve always been in love with music. It’s a powerful way to reach people’s souls. I've been singing, recording and performing since I was 14.
My daughter Jasmine and I recorded our first CD together when she was just 16. She is joining me in this new musical endeavor. Her brother (my son) Chandler is also doing back-up vocals for us!
Everyone is touched by music. Even those I know who cannot hear it still enjoy the mesmerizing vibrations felt when the bass is cranked, and the room is alive with sound. Music raises our consciousness and connects us to the unseen universe in a mystical way. It is our passion to give this musical magic, with melodies and lyrics that lift the spirits of children of all ages. Our current project is to produce and record my original song, entitled “Power." The song moves us all to use our imaginations and create our dreams.
I was inspired to write the "Power" song while working on my upcoming children’s book, "King MoonGlow and the Magical Dream." The story, illustrated by Rose MoonFeather, is about a gorgeous black Pegasus whose mane and tail sparkle with stars.
Through the lyrics and melody of "Power," our mission is to bring hope, magic and true empowerment to those who most need it. Our goal is to one day soon, sing "Power" in many schools and children's hospitals. The song is to accompany the reading of the King MoonGlow story. I have had the great privilege of reading King MoonGlow to several elementary school classes this year, and am very excited about their heartfelt responses to the magical story. The joyful looks on their faces are more than worth the time and effort. My goal is to take this magical experience to as many children as possible.
If you would like to be part of this loving project, please donate any amount you would like, to help pay for production and recording studio time. Each donor will receive a free mp3 download of the completed "Power" song. Additional incentive level reward packages, soon to be announced. The style of “Power,” appeals to fans of Olivia Newton-John’s “Magic,” as well as fans of Stevie Nicks’ “Rhiannon.”
We are planning to record "Power" at a local studio on January 7, 2017.
Jasmine and I are so excited to be singing together again, and for the first time recording an original song together. Listen to our previous work for an idea of our vocal styles. We recorded our "Embraceable You" CD in 2007 and performed songs from the album at various venues, including the Aggie Theater which features local and national acts such as Lisa Marie Presley & Sammy Adams.
