Post-Fire Help for Peter Morrow

Donation protected

If you’ve met Peter Morrow, you know him as one of the kindest, nicest, hardest working people in the Twin Cities, always ready to go above and beyond to support others. He has been a key part of the Minneapolis arts community since 2012, when he moved here from Ireland. Since then, he's made his living as a sound designer, composer and teaching artist. You may have caught his work at spaces like Bedlam, New Native Theater, Red Eye Theater Park Square Theater, Guthrie Theater, Open Eye Theater, Intermedia Arts, and Yellow Tree Theater, or playing as a musician under his own name or part of the folk group Bella Yaga

On Sunday night, at 10:30 on May 27th, the old Robert's Shoes building caught on fire on the corner of Chicago and Lake Street. It burned for hours, decimating the Bella Yaga practice space where Peter was storing over $10,000 of crucial equipment. Most of the instruments he lost were brought over from Ireland - several are literally irreplaceable, due to age or uniqueness. The instruments were unfortunately not insured.

The loss of this equipment is a huge blow to Peter’s ability to do sound design and composition work. Please consider giving to support Peter. Let’s help him replace his gear and get him back to making sounds again!
