A few days before Christmas (Dec. 20th) I had just gotten a job I'd been trying to get for 5 years. On my second day I was on my lunch break and forgot to pack a lunch. I only lived 3 blocks away from this place of employment so I decided to go home and get some food and when I pulled up to a stop sign my vehicle slid backwards down the hill on ice, flipping and totaling the vehicle when it went into a creek. Sadly, they terminated me for it happening on my second day...
On December 29th, shortly after Christmas I woke up to the worst pain I've ever had. Thinking I was having a heart attack I went straight to the hospital to find out my lung had collapsed. I had been job hunting shortly after the car accident but this situation halted my job hunt entirely. I was hospitalized from the 29th until January 3rd, and underwent a Pnuemothorax (chest tube) surgery to re-inflate my lung and prevent my heart from being crushed.
On January 17th I'll be starting college and I'll be receiving my student aid refund 30 days later. The downfall of all of this situation is that I lost so much money from being unemployed and unable to find employment during the time, that my internet bill, phone, and food money has entirely depleted, and now after being released from the hospital I'm on a lot of restrictions preventing work.
By January 18th my internet will be shut off, and this will cause me to forfeit my student aid refund which will get me caught up on bills. I'm simply trying to just get the $185 for my internet bill, $40 for my phone bill, and few extra dollars to provide myself with some meals to get by until February 16th or later when I receive my student aid. My father and my fiance are the only ones in the family currently working and my father is covering my medical expenses, and my fiance is covering our rent expenses. Sadly, neither one is able to help much more.
