Help rebuild Vanuatu

On Friday 13th, Cyclone Pam, a category 5 storm, hit the island nation of Vanuatu and caused widespread devastation.
Tens of thousands of citizens are now homeless as a result!
I have been living in this beautiful island nation for almost a decade now and know how very poor many of these people are. The ni-Vanuatu citizens are largely unemployed and have no access to money to rebuild or to even replace the most basic of household items lost in the cyclone.
They really do need our help to get back on their feet!
Many friends have asked me how to help, and many have told me they'd prefer to provide direct and immediate help, if possible. For this reason, I have set up this fund.
100% of the funds raised on this site will be used to help the impoverished village of Mele Maat, close to my home. This particular village was completely flooded and I have seen that virtually all of them no longer even have a mattress on which to sleep! Children are sleeping on bare concrete or bare earth.
Please help me to buy mattresses, cooking pots/utensils, and water tanks to collect rain water to drink.
