Plum's Bladder Surgery

Dear friends,
After a couple weeks of odd behaviour Plum paid a visit to the vet this weekend that revealed some bad news: a frankly humongous bladder stone has been giving her pain and causing immense strain on her entire system for months. She's so stoic and has such a personality, it's been hard to spot changes in her behaviour until very recently. She's scheduled for emergency surgery to remove the stone in Guelph, Ontario this upcoming week, and we've got many more nauseatingly large vet bills to tackle yet.
Plum has been a real trooper the past few years, and the most loving side kick for me as we've moved all sorts of places in North America, for stints in Banff, Duncan, Victoria, Vashon Island, New York City and Toronto. Those who know me or follow her on Instagram (@plumchickun) know how big a part of my life she's been since day one. She is so loved!!!!
We need some help on the road to recovery! Plum is a strong little chickun and I think she's up for this hurtle. If you have a few bucks to spare, anything helps and we really appreciate it. It is not without a large dose of humility that we ask. Any funds raised here will go toward the x-rays, pain medication and vet care she's already received, as well as toward the blood work, tests and big surgery on Tuesday and the recovery that will follow.
