Please help save my friend, Kerrie

Hello.

Let me tell you of a dear friend who is suffering physically and mentally every minute of everyday and night.

Last year, Kerrie Haines was subject to a tick bite.  It went unnoticed for a few days before being improperly removed. Kerrie approached doctors for antibiotics and received a very short treatment.  Unfortunately, she didn't get better and her symptoms progressed and she was later diagnosed with Late Lyme Disease and co-infections. 

So now the Lyme Disease and co-infections have taken over her whole body and life.

My friend:
- is losing weight at at an unstoppable pace
- has a recurring fever
- has deteriorating eyesight in left eye, with significant pain and light sensitivity.  She can't watch the TV or even use a smartphone at times, due to the flashing and glare
- is experiencing horrendous pain throughout her body, from her sore/tender scalp down to her burning/freezing toes
- the disease has resulted in muscle loss throughout her body
- severe nerve and joint pain
- diffused hair loss
- Affecting her cognitively, such as word blanks and short-term memory loss.

All of these are just the tip of the iceberg. I could write pages and pages.

Kerrie is housebound most of the time.

Kerrie had a good life. She held down a challenging job that she loved, was outgoing, had lots of friends and a zest for life and travel.

....But now

Kerrie's illnesses have also weakened her immune system. An auto-immune condition is attacking her body and connective tissue, which as a result makes her even worse. Her entire body is being hi-jacked from all these infections (central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, hormones and much more) which makes her life unbearable.

The pain is so alarming that a normal life is now non-existent.

Kerrie has lost so much weight and muscle and suffers from arthritis in her wrists, knees and shoulder; even picking up a cooking pan is difficult.  She is reliant on others for help, including for shopping, cooking meals, and cleaning.

...and possibly her greatest worry of all is the fear of how much worse these progressive infections and all the awful symptoms could get.

Kerrie has tried to help herself as much as she is able but now she really needs our help and support. 

Kerrie has gone as far as she can within the NHS and all that can be done for her in the UK is to try and help manage the dreadful symptoms.

There is an expertise clinic in Germany.  We would like to raise enough money to get Kerrie out to Germany for treatment where she would not only receive the IV antibiotics she so very much needs, but also treatment to stregthen the immune system itself to the extent it can start healing itself.

Currently, Kerrie is getting worse everyday. I worry how much more her body can take. Kerrie is lucky that her friends and family help, including financially, but more money is needed  Money raised here would help fund  multi-approach treatments, which are desperately needed, such as:

-Travelling to a German clinic for specialist treatment
-Ozone therapy
-IV antibiotics
-Detox protocols
-Herbal treatments
-Immunotherapy
-Bio-resonance therapy
-Regular visits to specialist to review treatments

“Just knowing Kerrie and how she keeps fighting makes it impossible not to have giant admiration. For someone who appears so small and weak, yet finds the strength to keep going through what she does, makes her the strongest person I know”.

Please, can we all unite to help a truly special person. Kerrie would help anyone, lets help Kerrie.
