Please Help Us Save Asolaria's Life

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

As many of you have heard, Asolaria (Diana) became seriously ill in Hawaii and was hospitalized and subsequently transported to Vancouver for treatment. She was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and has recently undergone surgery. Since Asolaria did not have health insurance, the financial burden has been considerable, and this will continue to be a challenge throughout the recovery process. Our modest fundraising goal of $10,000 will not cover all of the expenses, but it will significantly ease the financial burden on Asolaria and the family. Please visit the Updates tab for more details; I will be providing more updates as they become available.

Finally, I would like to provide a more detailed explanation of how this campaign is being organized. My name is Daniel, and I am Asolaria’s nephew from Calgary, Alberta. I am organizing the campaign and distributing the donated funds on behalf of Asolaria and the family and friends who are involved in assisting her recovery. The largest expense for Asolaria’s illness thus far has been the transportation costs to bring her from Hawaii to Vancouver (she required a nurse to accompany her on the journey). The family needed to collectively borrow the money to cover this cost, and the largest portion of the fundraising goal will be used to reimburse those family members. Any remaining funds will be utilized to cover Asolaria’s incidental expenses as she embarks on the long recovery process. On behalf of our family, thank you for your generous donations.

I have included the original message from Asolaria’s mother, Bozenka, below:

Dear friends and family,

Because I believe that no one stands alone in a difficult, life threatening, unexpected, and heartbreaking (heart opening) situation, I write this plea for help.

On her stay in Hawaii, my first daughter Asolaria Diana suddenly collapsed and was taken to the hospital, and then transported by helicopter to another hospital. Not to go into the medical details here, to put it simply, the diagnosis is life-threatening and heartbreaking. My child, a kind and compassionate woman, my little girl, is so very ill that she had to be transported to Canada with specialized medical assistance. To make things worse, Asolaria Diana being always healthy, carefree, and optimistic, did not have travel insurance. You can imagine the rest. Instead of gathering what’s left of her strength to think about her own healing, she is worried now about this sudden financial burden upon her immediate family. The worry is legitimate, for we are ordinary people who already had to borrow to bring her to the hospital in Vancouver.

Yet, through this shocking, sad life event, the compassion of friends and ‘strangers’ for Asolaria Diana and our troubles is overwhelming. Please be a part of a larger and universal helping hand if you can. May your giving give you blessings and joy as it reaches Asolaria Diana. To truly show her in action that she and all of us are never alone. Give what you can in prayers, money, and beliefs that miracles are possible. They pour from the heart of God every moment into our own love and compassion.
