Please Help the Most Resilient Girl in the World!

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

I'm here to introduce you to the most resilient kid I know.  I met Ircy just before her 11th birthday through Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Bay Area (https://www.bbbsba.org/), and this month she's turning 22!  We've built a longstanding relationship, we've had fun together,  and I've gotten to see her grow up.   But we've also been through some pretty terrible things together....

Ircy's family has some serious limitations on all sorts of levels that have made life very hard for her and, in some cases, actually done real damage to Ircy.  And yet, she remains the spunky, hardworking, responsible, amazing kid I met years ago.  Whenever something knocks her down, she's jumps right back up.  It's truly inspiring.

Here's why I'm seeking help for Ircy:
On Tuesday night Ircy's father pointed a gun at her, took the safety off, and threatened her.   This followed a fight that they had when she confronted him about destructive behavior he was engaging in in their apartment in the middle of the night.  He was likely high on meth when he did this, and we're lucky that she's alive.  This is a man who has been out of her life for most of the years that I've known Ircy, and has only recently gotten back together with her mother.  Ircy was devastated that her mom didn't stand up for her.  Instead, her mother agreed that Ircy had to leave the apartment immediately.  Her parents didn't allow her to collect her belongings, but instead threw some of them into the street and locked her out telling her not to return.

It was 2:00 am by the time she got to her car where she wound up spending that night...and then she got up the next morning and went to the orientation for a new job she had just gotten at a local hospital.  AMAZING.  She told me that she wasn't going to let them wreck this new job for her.  Her first day of work will be on August 1st or 2nd after the on-boarding process.  This means that she won't have a steady paycheck for several weeks.  And this is Ircy's first job with a large organization that can offer her many opportunities to grow and learn, and perhaps even to get further training beyond her GED.

Here's the IMMEDIATE need:
Ircy needs a stable place to stay, and she doesn't have any family in a position to house her.  A friend was able to take her in for one night, but that family already had multiple people staying in their home and the parents told Ircy she couldn't stay longer.  I'm trying to raise enough money to find Ircy a simple Airbnb room with use of a bathroom and kitchen so that she has a stable place to stay until she starts getting paychecks and her feet on the ground.  It will also help her with gas for her car and groceries.  I think getting on her feet will take about a month or so.

Please help me raise funds for Ircy AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about this fundraiser (510-847-6502).  I hope you can be generous in your help.  She's a truly amazing and inspiring kid!
