Please Help Tammy's Family

A dear friend, Tammy Levesque, mother of Dillon and Dominick Rossignol, took her own life late in the evening of 11/10/2016 while in the Emergency Department of a local hospital. I first met her sitting on the bleachers watching our children play Little League baseball. Our sons became the kind of friends who stay friends for life, and had fun together with sports and mischief, as we were neighbors. She had all the boys to Thanksgiving and cookouts even after they left school and moved on to college and work. She helped my daughter with girly things, and her dear life partner, Jason Rossignol, taught my son to tie a necktie, and has been a coach and mentor for him and many other young men in the community, as well as his sons.
Tammy and Jason have always struggled financially, but Jason has managed to support the family with his steady work for the YMCA, and more recently as a Psychiatric Tech at Acadia Hospital here in Bangor. Things were looking up, as Tammy had accomplished her goal to become a nurse. She passed her State Boards this past summer, and I was excited for her to start her first nursing job.
Knowing Tammy, and the pride she had for her family, and how hard she tried to make a nice home for all of them, makes this even harder, because I know that mental illness took her life, and she would never have done this if she had really known what she was doing. She would never have left those boys. She was the kind of Mom who loved getting family together and I'm sure she thought about future grandchildren.
That being said, the need now is to help her family with funeral, cremation, and burial expenses, and maybe to pay a bill or two so they don't suffer some financial catastrophe on top of losing Tammy.
Anything you can give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated, and the need is great for help as soon as possible. Knowing that people are out there who care, will help this family, and the funds will help them to lay Tammy to rest with the respect and love that she so deserves.
