Hi everyone I’m here with a heavy heart on behalf of Joey Francis, Josephs son. Joseph Francis was a truly remarkable man. Anyone that has met him once will know this. Joe was a professional boxer in his mid to late teens who put his career on hold to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corp. to fight for our country.He did a tour in Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart as well as the bronze star with Combat V for his heroic efforts to save his platoon.Joe was a 5x golden glove champion/New England champion and also boxed professionally for several years prior to enlisting as well as after returning home from fighting for his country in Vietnam. Joe has continued to impact lives since.He has assisted in developing various sports programs that helped youth in his community.He was a beloved boxing trainer/coach at the MPAL for over a decade.Many fighters have come thru the ranks, from golden glove to professional status trained by Joe.His love of boxing and fitness ran thru his veins.
This week he collapsed at home doing what he loved and was rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival it was discovered he had a massive brain hemorrhage and will not be making a recovery. This is devastated friends and family. Joseph is currently on life-support in the ICU where he will not be recovering. The amount of family and friends to have visited him in the ICU in the last couple days has been nothing but mind blowing . He will remain on life-support until the remaining family and friends get here to say their goodbyes. We are raising money to help the Francis family with medical bills, memorial and burial services, and any other Financial hardships that developed due to this devastating loss.
Joe was the pillar of the Francis family as well as of so many others he welcomed into his family.He leaves behind his amazing wife and best friend of 45 years Martha and his 9 children Jojo, Joey, Danny, Mooen, Tina, Kerry, Misty, Marisha and Fawn Francis.As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
