Hey everyone, It is with great sadness and very little options or remaining pride that we are doing this,
Over the last few months me and my partner, have had a number of crushing blows, from our horse being severely injured and a slew of Vet Bills. to a house we can barely live in due to a number of unmet maintenance issues, health concerns and work dithering away during the Christmas rush.
before it got repaired, we were without a shower, and after over a month of travelling to other people's houses to get clean for work, it got repaired, only to leave us with terrible carpet, and rotten skirting board, in which I, an asthmatic am expected to breathe in. We are currently trying to move out, and have tried every avenue (yes even the RTA) to get a clean slate and get out of here. Our current real estate and property manager will let us leave on a break of lease with the expectation that we pay a $435 re-advertisement fee, and continue to pay rent up until June when our lease is suppose to end, or until they find a new tenant, whichever happens first. The re advertisement fee was expected but due to health concerns, we assumed we could leave without further fee's. As it currently stands we have worked out that worse case scenario it will cost us $6,100 if we are paying rent till June. and then if we are moving in the meantime we still need to pay rent at a new property and somehow come up with more rent, bond, the costs that come with moving furniture such as transport fees and 2 weeks of rent in advance. We understand that our situation is nothing compared to the dire circumstances of others. However with health concerns, a slowly deteriorating mental health, and a hardy strain on our relationship, we cannot seem to dig ourselves out of this hole. We have also looked into loans and other such avenues. If we cannot meet our goal, I don't know what we will do, If every one on my friends list donated $40 - $50 we will meet our goal, or if everyone on mine and Pam's friend list can donate $10-$20 we will be well on our way to a better home, a better situation and a better life. I understand that times are tough and not everyone can do that, but every little bit helps. I'm willing to do anything I can for others. I apologise if this seems pathetic but I don't know what else I can do.
