PLEASE HELP RUSHTON DOG RESCUE

£9,095 of £50,000 goal

Raised by 329 people in 5 months
Rushton Dog Rescue are rescuing dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes from the horrific dog meat trade in China.
Dogs are often very ill when rescued,  suffering from diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, skin diseases, broken bones, injuries, starved and dehydrated and needing medical treatment. Veterinary bills are extremely high. Once healthy enough, we place the dogs in private boarding facilities before flights to their forever homes are organised. Each dog is spayed and neutered, goes through quarantine which includes paperwork and bloodworm, microchip, crates and flights, which all incur high cost to the charity. We believe each dog deserves this chance at life, after suffering the worst possible abuse in the Chinese dog meat trade, they belong in safe, loving homes.

We are currently trying to raise funds for a huge £10k bill from our Beijing vets for dogs rescued from truck 811, with just three survivors. We also have many other survivors under our wing, taken from overcrowded shelters, dog meat breeding farms, slaughterhouses and meat trucks, waiting to fly to their forever homes.

Please give what you can today and share to help Chinese dog meat trade survivors have their lives turned from hell to heaven. We simply can not do this without donations. Thank you.

As many of you may know from following us on Facebook and Instagram, Zoe is in China at the moment and has been volunteering at a Buddhist monastery just outside Yulin, dealing with dogs rescued from the slaughterhouses and meat trucks heading there. She has managed to get permission to take 5 Yulin survivors under our care, taking them to a veterinary clinic in Shanghai for treatment. Winnie has a broken leg, they made her a makeshift splint until they got her there, Pumpkin the puppy was unbelievably on a Yulin truck, Toots has had litter after litter and is extremely thin, Benny has had a wire put through his neck and the wound was infected and filled with fluid, and Baby Lion who was extremely ill and only has one eye, he made a fantastic recovery at the monastery as he was not expected to survive. We want these guys to have a chance at life, we can't just let them die. After travelling hours and then trawling around Shanghai looking for a vets that would take them, with police crawling everywhere that would seize them at any given opportunity, they finally found a vets willing to take them. We need to pay for their treatment as well as the hundreds of others under our care at the moment, we want to get them to the UK in October and find them homes so they can live the lives they deserve. Please keep sharing and donating, and find our WildCrowd link set up especially for these 5 dogs here https://www.wildcrowd.org/campaigns/detail/64/give-dogs-rescued-from-yulin-a-future

We have 5 new collie rescues recently, there seem to be collies everywhere at the moment in China. One of the boys was found wandering the streets in Chengdu He’s about a year old and will join us at our boarding facility. Dogs are being rounded up in trucks for Yulin so he had a lucky escape. We also have an old collie girl that was found on the highway in Chengdu, she has cataracts and her coat is a mess, we will be getting her sorted and off to the vets to start her bloods then off to the boarding facility with a swimming pool! Then we have three collies in the shelter in Yan, they've lived for a long time like this in an awful shelter, the stress of coming from a slaughterhouse then ending up in a shelter with hundreds of dogs all desperate for attention and medical care. The shelter has no money, no hope and the dogs will sit there until they eventually die. So they're going to our private boarding facility and eventually come to the U.K. and find better lives...
they have never seen grass, the won’t have ever known what it is like to run across a field or lie in front of a fire in the winter... now their dreams will come true. This is where your money is going, to save these and many many more that need our help. We need funds to save as many as we can, Zoe is going to Yulin on Monday. We have over 100 dogs with our name on who need bloods, paperwork, boarding fees and flights here to go off to their forever homes. Please keep sharing and donating, the dogs we could save are endless and its just money standing in between them and us. Thank you so much.

Yesterday we rescued six puppies, their mum and the mums friend, they were left in a university campus in Xiamen, China. The girls had done their best to look after them but the university said the puppies would be disposed of soon so the race was on to get them safe... networking from the UK to Beijing to Xiamen, it’s amazing what you can achieve ...nothing is ever impossible as far as we are concerned when it comes to animal welfare. The dogs and puppies are now in a paid place of safety where they will stay until we are able to fly them to Bejing to foster homes and boarding whilst they wait to be able to fly to the UK hopefully around Christmas time. We have also rescued a load of beagle puppies being sold at a market with their tails being cut off. This all costs so much, they will all obviously have to be spayed and neutered and have bloodwork and paperwork done, microchips, flight crates and flights. Please keep donating and sharing, every penny goes towards their care. Follow the 'Rushton Dog Rescue - Saving Dogs from Slaughter in China' Facebook page to see videos and photos. Thankyou

How it Works
  1. You are donating to PayPal Giving Fund UK, a registered charity (No. 1110538), which will email you a receipt for your donation and claim Gift Aid where eligible.
  2. GoFundMe’s platform is free. The charity will typically receive the funds from PayPal Giving Fund within 15-45 days of your donation if the charity has enrolled (or 90 days if the charity has not yet enrolled). Unlike other platforms, 100% of any Gift Aid will go to the charity as well.
* In very limited cases, a recommended charity may cease to meet PayPal Giving Fund's legal or other eligibility requirements. In such cases, PayPal Giving Fund will reassign the funds to a similar charity, and (wherever possible) seek a new recommendation from donors.
