Please help our Yuffie girl

On Monday evening we noticed our dog was throwing up stomach bile, same thing we saw with our dog Jax that we lost in august. We tried to feed her dinner a couple hours later and she wouldn’t get up from laying down, had no interest in eating. I assumed blockage as we have been down this road before and loaded her up to go to the emergency clinic.

They did xrays that did not show any prominent blockage, but the specialist also could not rule it out. She got fluids and antivomiting meds and we took her home for the night. By morning she was more lethargic so we brought her to our family vet and they did more x rays to compare and more fluids/injections. Nothing had changed so she had a few enemas. They decided they weren’t comfortable opening her up without being sure she had a blockage so again we took her home for the night.

When I got home a few hours later she wasn’t moving. She had continued vomiting and was significantly worse and was going down hill quickly. We had to carry her to the car because she couldn’t walk. They did xrays once more to compare and now were questioning a specific area, we opted for surgery knowing they may not find something. Fortunately but unfortunately she did have 2 blockages. She had ingested a toy of our 3 year olds and because it had been going on for a few days her intestines were severely bruised.

She is now staying at the hospital over night and at our vet during the days to be monitored as she is not out of he woods until 5 days post op or until she shows she can eat and hold food down. (They both have varying hours and so that is why she is staying at both.) I cannot bring her home until she eats because I cannot give her pain meds without her eating.  (She has not ate since Sunday night, but we are hopeful as she heals her appetite will return.)

We are literally at the bottom of our care credit, and our bank account. After Jax passing 2 months ago, my own health bills, and fixing our house in our last weeks of escrow, and then now this we have reached our care credit max and are being faced with the potential of euthanasia if we cannot continue her care.

I am embarrassed to ask for help, but we are desperate. We cannot lose another pet, she is my husband’s emotional support dog, my son’s best friend, and my baby girl. We appreciate anything.
