Please help our friend fight cancer

Alicia Sue and I have been friends 20+ years. She is the most giving, selfless, loving and loyal friend anyone could ask for. If you need something, anything, no matter who you are, she's going to try her hardest to help you get whatever it is and asks for nothing in return, she gives everything out of love and kindness.

Since high school she’s worked hard and received her CNA certification. Given her natural ability of empathy and compassion, it was no surprise to anyone that knows her she went into a nursing field. She’s always had this amazing desire and drive to take care of others. I remember when her first elderly resident passed away and how it affected her personally, she cried and cried. I know that when they died, they died knowing at least one person loved them. Alicia has been that one person for so many people. Having worked in the health field for over 15 years, she’s helped patients stay calm for tests, cope with bad news and also celebrated good news with them, all while taking it home with her in her own heart.

I feel blessed that I’ve gotten to be a part of her life. I’ve watched her become a mother to a beautiful young woman, with a heart as warm and giving as her mothers. Alicia is one of the best mothers I have ever seen. She does everything to be there for her children. She fights for and is strong for her babies, they are her everything.

Several years ago she met an amazing man and 5 years ago they married. They are perfect together and he is that special person to her that would never abuse her loving and giving heart. He is her perfect other half and is so good to her. They celebrated their love by bringing their little man into their lives a short time later. The family was complete all was perfect nothing could take them down.

Sadly, about 6 months after having her little man, Alicia got sick and was diagnosed with MS. She has fought hard with MS for two and a half years. For Alicia who puts her children above all else, this made life so difficult at times. She struggled with MS to pick up her baby at times or hold him and took time from her family to go to numerous doctor visits. Yet, Alicia has stayed positive, she’s fought on herself and her family. She managed to gain control of her MS and sometimes so well that those who know her nearly forgot it was there, it felt like more of a bad dream. she was doing it all for her children and her hubby.

On June 22nd Alicia was with her family at the Blue Fox Drive In when she fell and hurt herself. As most know, she is stubborn, so she waited till June 24th to be checked out. The doctor at the Urgent Care was concerned with something they saw so sent her to hospital. She’s been at the hospital since then.

CANCER.

If you’ve been touched by that word, you understand the sinking, awful, sickening brutality of it.

CANCER.

She has a large MASS in the middle of her chest. It takes up ALL the space that her vital organs should be using. We are still waiting for more tests, hoping and praying for some good news.

Alicia is OUT of vacation time and sick time and unfortunately has no short-term disability. She and her family need help and anything HELPS!!

She, her family and friends all have a long road ahead of us. Medical bills are piling up, she has a family to care for, regular bills to pay and right now needs to focus on getting better and healthy. She needs some of the love that she has given this world returned.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please help in any way you can. Even $1 by many adds up. If you’re unable to help financially, please reach out to me directly, there are many other ways to help this caring, giving and loving person and her amazing family.
