Milo is our miniature Schnauzer he's 6 years old. He has been the most loyal loving dog ever since he was born. My little girl Lilly who is 2 worships him and he has been protective of her ever since she was born.
He's so loving and good natured and loves his daily walks, treats and cuddles.
A week ago he was his normal self playing with Lilly in the garden.
Two days later he started losing the feeling in his rear legs then over the next two days his front legs and now he can't even raise his head. He is lying down cannot move to use the toilet and has no strength in his body. He can no longer bark but still pricks his ears up when we call him or one of us enters the room. His eyes look so sad and confused as to what is going on.. it's heartbreaking.
Already we are almost up to our £2000 limit pet insurance trying to find out what's wrong.
Blood tests, x rays and poo tests all showing nothing.
The vets were completely stumped.
They now think he could have a very rare nerve disease which means his body is attacking itself and slowly paralysing his body. The test itself is around £1000 and to do the full range of tests and scans they want to do is almost £2000. We need help raising this money as we cannot give up hope on our poor boy. Without these tests we will never know what is wrong.
If he does have the nerve disease he can recover it will take time but he can get better this is the hope we are clinging onto. But if this is something more sinister that hasn't yet been picked up we cannot leave him like this as it's just so unfair.
