Please help Kathleen & Ian O'Malley

Kathleen O’ Riordan lost her life on Highway 1 and Miramontes Road tragically Thursday evening after being struck by a SUV. Witness accounts and locals that stopped to render help said she did not suffer. Kathleen was a retired nurse from Seaton Coastside. She has literally touched 100's of us, if not 1000's of us on the Coastside. She leaves behind her granddaughter Kathleen O'Malley and son Ian O'Malley.
As many of you know Ian O'Malley has worked for us at Alifano Technologies for almost 10 years. We consider our employees like family so when something like this happens we all feel the loss and the pain too. Ian is a remarkable human being in our eyes, a single dad that raised his daughter while working multiple jobs all while supporting his mother and kept the family together and strong. Ian is the true definition of a giver just like his mother.
We will never forget the day we met his mother at Seaton Coastside when Cortney was feeling ill during our first pregnancy (Gianna) almost 10 years ago. We had no idea she was Ian's mother but once we found out, it made all the sense in the world that Ian was her son. She raised a good son, loyal, caring, a man of his word and most importantly a family man. We see it every day in his work ethic and as important member of our team. It's hard to see someone we care about hurt during a time like this especially during the holidays when we are used to seeing family arrive in town to spend the holidays together.
Even tougher is the financial burden of this untimely loss for Ian to manage solely. That’s why I am asking for help from our community to help Ian and his daughter get through this sudden and immediate financial hardship.
