Please Help Holly Tuhey on her Cancer journey

It is with great sadness I write this. My mother Holly Tuhey was recently diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 lung cancer that has progressed to the brain. My mom will need extensive treatment and is now on continuous oxygen. My mom is a fighter so she has chosen to fight this battle as long as she possibly can. She is an amazing, strong and caring woman and this whole situation is just breaking all of our hearts, she is the glue to our family. She has been with my step father for 27 years and has a beautiful life. She also has a beautiful granddaughter she loves spending time with. My mom loves camping, her yard and spending time with her family. These are things she most likely is no longer going to be able to do. We want to make this horrible and final chapter in her life as long, comfortable and as memorable as we possibly can. In order to do this we need help in many ways.
The first thing she needs is a breathing machine (portable oxygen concentration) that insurance will not cover and we were quoted $2,800.00 just for the portable breathing unit. Part of this money will go towards purchasing that unit so my mother can get around easier and possibly be able to leave the house more often and see family during this very difficult time. After she is finished with it we will pass it on to someone who may be in need.
The amount of treatment she will receive is ongoing and will be very costly. This is also going to take a toll on her mentally and physically so she will not be able to maintain a steady income. My father and here were forced to piece their business off less than a year ago due to unforeseen changes in property ownership. Needless to say this is going to bear a very heavy financial burden on my parents in an already challenging time.
I am asking if my mom has ever touched you in any way if you could please donate to her care and the equipment we are trying to get for her to be able to go back and forth to Dr’s, treatments and to see her family easier. This is a very tough time that her and our family are all going through. Anything helps, even sharing resources you may possibly know of for us to reach out to.
