Please help Daisy take her first steps

Daisy Brianne Meyers was born on October 31st, 2017 via emergency c-section.  It was a joyous day for all of Daisy’s family to welcome this baby girl into the world.  Unfortunately  Daisys arrival was not without a long list of complications.  Most concerning, Daisy suffered low tone and stayed in the N.I.C.U the first few weeks of her life undergoing a multitude of tests including a spinal tap to rule out all infections.     


Daisy is is a beautiful 1 1/2 year old baby with a mommy and daddy that love her more than they ever thought possible, which is why the struggle with her developmental delay has been.. in a word heartbreaking.  Her insurance has denied her physical therapy past 12 sessions a year even though she would benefit from and attend them daily if we could.  It has also denied her treatment by specialists that were referrals from her own primary care physician and specialists for further tests, treatment and speech therapy for issues with swallowing.  Daisy has no more sessions covered by her insurance, they cost over $300 a session.  She needs physical therapy or an expert to work with her low tone and help her growing body gear up for the difficult task of crawling, standing, and walking.  Daisy has the motor skills of a 4-6 month old.    We want our baby to grow and thrive and with help..someday soon, take her first steps.
