Please assist stabbing victim Janelle Guyatt

Janelle is a beautiful, giving and loving young lady who was maliciously stabbed multiple times by a stranger to her. This occurred inside her boyfriends home in Chemainus on May 20, 2016. This tragic day also took the life of her boyfriend Derek Descoteau who was stabbed sixteen times by the perpetrator.
Janelle has already undergone three surgeries to her arm to repair severed nerves and muscles and has a fourth major surgery scheduled at the end of January 2019, in hopes of getting better mobility in her arm. The recovery from this extensive surgery is six to eight months and she will not be able to work during this time.
The only option for financial compensation is a civil suit against the perpetrator and he has no money or assets. The family has already incurred costs for traveling to Vancouver, taking time off work to assist Janelle with medical appointments etc.
This 2 1/2 year nightmare has been through the judicial preliminary stage and most recently the Crown Council testimony. The trial will resume in Apr/May of 2019 which will mark the 3rd year Anniversary.
