Dominican Republic Service Trip

Some of you may know I am planning to go on a service trip to the Dominican Republic in May and I’d like to request that, in lieu of Christmas gifts, you consider donating to help me pay for my trip.
I will be going on this trip through llitravel.org, and once down there I will be working with the Mariposa Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating and empowering young women in order to end generational poverty. I will also have the opportunity to work with an organization that works with re-integrating prisoners, as well as one that works towards the prevention of human trafficking. 
I will be staying in locally-owned hotels and eating at local restaurants in order to support the local economy. On top of that, the organization I‘m traveling with is committed to assisting with locally-identified needs, meaning we will be helping the community with things they actually need, rather than what we assume that they need. 
The cost detailed above will cover my transportation and accommodations as well as help pay for sustainable service projects with local organizations. 
This trip will be beneficial for me as a future educator, as I will be working with children through the Mariposa Foundation.
I have attached a sample itinerary for the 10 days of our trip so you can decide if this is worth your money (I truly believe that it is, or I wouldn’t ask).

I need at least half of my goal by the end of January, and the total amount by March. If I end up raising more money than my goal, I will be donating the rest of the funds directly to the Mariposa Foundation in the Dominican Republic. https://mariposadrfoundation.org
