Help Pam Fight Cancer

Donation protected
On March 30, 2018, our mom (Pam) was found unresponsive and having a seizure. She was transported to an area hospital where CT and MRI scans showed a lesion on the brain. The lesion turned out to be a tumor. Mom had surgery on April 23, 2018 to remove the tumor. Initial tests indicated that the tumor was malignant. Two weeks after surgery, we found out that Mom has Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. The cancer is treatable, but not curable. Median survival is two to three years. We are devastated by her diagnosis, but she is determined to fight!

After meeting with a great team of doctors in Milwaukee, they developed a treatment plan of chemotherapy and radiation. Mom started her treatment on May 21st. Mom has radiation everyday (Monday thru Friday) and will do chemo and radiation concurrently for six weeks. After this round of treatment, she will have a four-week break and then will go in for scans to see how she responded to the treatment.

The medical bills from two stints in intensive care, brain surgery, cancer treatments, prescriptions and various appointments are starting to come in. Pam has health insurance, but she has incurred out-of-pocket costs. As you can imagine, the medical bills are overwhelming. Mom has not worked since March 29th but she able to collect short-term disability.

All money donated will go towards Mom's medical bills.

We are truly grateful for the support we have already received and are receiving from our friends and family.

Thank you,
Nicole, Brandon and Steffani (Pam's kids)
