Pitch, Please is Temple University's one and only LGBTQIA+ advocacy a cappella group. This past year, Pitch, Please has been taking names and making strides within both the Temple community and the greater Philadelphia area. The growth that we have had as a group is incredible. In the fall, we added ten new Pitches, vastly expanded and improved upon our musical repertoire, gone to New York City to perform in a showcase of LGBTQIA+ performing artists, and finished out our semester with a bang with our first-ever concert concert and the release of our single “Unwritten”!
This semester, we are planning to record our first-ever EP. Additionally, we intend on competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCAs) next year. Pitch, Please’s mission is to spread messages of positivity, hope, love, and acceptance through music. We believe that promoting ourselves and our message with an EP and gaining exposure by competing in the ICCAs is the best means of achieving this. As Pitch, Please reaches new heights, we thank those that support us and our message.
We will be recording with Cut Off Studios (@CutOffStudios), who recorded “Unwritten” last spring. In order to cover the expenses that come with recording, mixing, mastering, distribution, and licensing, we are kindly asking for donations that will help us reach our goal. These donations will also go towards paying for the ICCA submission fee. This has been Pitch, Please’s most successful year ever, and we aren’t done yet!
We are planning to record our EP before the end of the Spring 2018 semester. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated! If you are not able to donate, we would love it if you shared this campaign on your Facebook or other social media platforms!
