Pineapple Playhouse Hurricane Fund

Tax deductible
As you know, Hurricane Irma was an extremely powerful and catastrophic hurricane that devastated parts of Florida, Georgia and particularly parts of the northeastern Caribbean and the Florida Keys. It was a Category 5 and the strongest observed in the Atlantic since Wilma in 2005. In all, it killed 134 people and created $62.87 billion dollars in damage.

The Pineapple sustained significant damage not only due to the high winds, but as a result of power loss due to the hurricane. The theatre was without power for almost 2 weeks, which forced the cancelation of the run of the season's first show (estimated net loss close to $10,000). Once power WAS restored, the power surge blew 2 office computers, an Air Conditioning Unit and damaged our lighting system. This, combined with the loss of income from the first show, has put the Pineapple Playhouse in 'crisis mode'. We have reached out to FEMA and to the US Small Business Administration for help, but the process is tedious. We have no other choice but to reach out to you, the community, for your support.

PLEASE, consider making a donation to the Pineapple Playhouse. As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation is completely tax deductible.
