Mission Trip to Nicaragua

Hey friends!
This July Tucker and I will be going to Nicaragua with my boyfriend, and two amazing friends! We are going to stay with our amazing family friends, the Lathrops, who are missionaries in Managua, Nicaragua. We are so blessed and excited to have this opportunity to serve the Lord with my amazing friends and family! The Lathrops are not only good friends, they are Tucker's god parents and my sister's in-laws. I have served with them once in middle school and I am so excited to have the opportunity to do it again! This time their daughter Mika will be there which makes this moment even more special for me and Tucker. We don't get to see each other very often so not only is this a mission trip but it is like a mini 'family' reunion! We are so thankful for them and we are overly excited to learn from them about serving the Lord full heartedly!
On this trip we will be doing:
-construction for 2-3 days (working on a house or church in the local community around the Lathrop's farm)
-we will have a VBS outreach for kids in the local community
-we are going to pray with the patients in a poor public hospital in Managua
-home visits
-possible ministry outreach to the local elementary school.
I also will be documenting my time with the people on this trip. My dream job would be to travel the world sharing the Gospel and documenting the stories of His children with my camera. This is my first step to making this dream come true! It's amazing to see the love for God from people who have so much less than we do. To live a life like them and to know and feel God's love is an inspiration! I ask you all to join me in praying that my photographs will help to inspire others to live in faith like they do. I'm excited to have the opportunity to use the talent that God gave me for His glory.

For this trip we are raising money for:
-Airfare: $500 (if we buy them too late)
-In country cost: $960
-Country entry fee: $10
Total = $1470/person
We are asking for roughly $1500/person so that we can send some supplies to the Lathrops with the money that we have left over. Our goal is to purchase cheaper plane tickets so that we will have more money to support the Lathrops.
Your support is so important and greatly appreciated! Thank y'all for praying with us and for helping us get to Nicaragua! As college students this money is hard to save up for on our own so your support is so important to us! It's hard to find words that will express our thanks enough!
